InMobi Plans ₹8,000+ Crore IPO

India’s leading mobile advertising technology company InMobi is preparing to launch its much-awaited Initial Public Offering (IPO). According to media reports, the company is aiming to raise around $1 billion (approximately ₹8,000–8,500 crore) through the public issue, making it one of the biggest technology IPOs in India.

InMobi Appoints Investment Bankers

As part of its IPO preparations, InMobi has reportedly appointed four leading investment banks to manage the issue:

  • JPMorgan Chase & Co.
  • Jefferies Financial Group
  • Kotak Mahindra Capital
  • Axis Capital

The IPO process is expected to begin soon, although the company has not officially announced the filing date.

Expected Valuation

Reports suggest that InMobi is targeting a valuation of $5–6 billion. If achieved, the company would rank among India’s largest publicly listed technology firms.

Corporate Restructuring Before IPO

Ahead of the listing, InMobi is shifting its legal domicile from Singapore to India. The move is seen as part of its broader strategy to facilitate an Indian public listing.

Backed By Mr. Rata Tata

Founded in 2007, InMobi became one of India’s first globally recognised technology startups and an early competitor in the mobile advertising industry. The company received investment from SoftBank in 2011, becoming India’s first unicorn.

Today, InMobi operates across mobile advertising, marketing technology, content discovery, and commerce technology, serving customers worldwide.

Founder and CEO Naveen Tewari, a Harvard-educated entrepreneur, remains the company’s largest shareholder with an estimated 40% stake. SoftBank recently sold a significant portion of its holdings back to the company while retaining a minority stake.

Why This IPO Matters

India’s IPO market has witnessed slower fundraising in 2026 compared to the previous two years. A successful InMobi IPO could boost investor confidence and revive activity in the technology listing space.

Several other prominent companies, including NSE, Zepto, Jio Platforms, and Manipal Health, are also expected to pursue IPOs in the coming months.
